The supply and installation of an integrated ticketing & access control system for the visitors of “Valley of Butterflies” in Rhodes Island, was recently awarded to AMCO as a result of a public tender procedure.

The new systems is expected to serve thousand of visitors, especially during the summer period and consists of the following:

• Back-office ticketing software
• 4 pieces of automatic ticket vending machines where the visitors will be able to issue an entrance ticket
• 4 pieces of POS hardware and software
• 4 pieces of turnstiles with QR code reader where the visitors will validate their tickets before the entrance in the Valley.

The new system is expected to contribute to better ticket management and increased revenue, decongestion of Valley entry points and reduction of staff required for access control.
